How do I charge my Nissan LEAF?

Charging is easy

Charging your 2024 Nissan LEAF is easy, whether you’re at home or on the go.

Simply connect and charge your Nissan LEAF in four quick steps:

  • Park and make sure the car is turned off.
  • Open the charge port lid and cap.
  • Plug the compatible EV charging connector into the charge port. When done correctly, the Nissan LEAF lets you know with a quick beep. You can also set the charging timer function to have the vehicle charge at a specific time.
  • When the battery reaches full, the Nissan LEAF stops charging on its own. To end charging at any point, just unplug the charge connector.

Nissan LEAF driver assistance

Confidence gets an upgrade

Imagine getting an assist, being able to see and sense more around you, and having a little magic behind the scenes helping you drive with extra finesse and precision. It all adds up to more confidence — giving you the freedom to embrace the pure joy of being behind the wheel

Nissan LEAF ProPILOT Assist

A high-tech guardian angel

With available ProPILOT Assist, Nissan LEAF can help support you on the drive, giving you the confidence and security to actually enjoy the ride for a change. Whether it’s helping with traffic or keeping you centered, Nissan LEAF’s advanced driver assistance system gives you a boost in the confidence department.

Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection

Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection monitors your speed and distance between you and the car ahead, letting you know if you need to slow down. It can also automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a frontal collision or lessen the severity of an impact. And when it detects a pedestrian in the crosswalk, it can stop you in your tracks.

Rear Automatic Braking

Is there something behind you? Rear Automatic Braking monitors the area directly behind your Nissan LEAF for large stationary items you might not see. If it detects an object and you fail to stop, it can automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a rear collision or lessen the severity of an impact.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Rear Cross Traffic Alert helps you back out of a space with more confidence. It watches around the rear of your Nissan LEAF, warning you if it detects other cars you might not see.

Blind Spot Warnig

Change lanes with more confidence. Blind Spot Warning keeps an eye on your Nissan LEAF’s blind spot area and gives you a heads-up if it detects a vehicle hiding there.

Lane Depare Warnig

Hold it right there. Lane Departure Warning helps make sure you change lanes only when you mean to. If the system detects that you’re drifting over, haptic feedback on the steering wheel can let you know.

High Beam Assist

High Beam Assist helps out with night vision, while being considerate of other drivers. It automatically switches to low-beam headlights when it detects a vehicle ahead and turns the high beams back on when you need them.
